A curved profile with a prominent chin. The facial profile shows a hook nose with a slightly jutting chin. The image study was done with the aim of identifying the corrections to be made to give a sweeter expression and improving the nose-chin proportion.

The strategic point revealed to be that of positioning the frontal nose angle in the center of the view and the correct height of the nose bridge. The image study moreover denotes the necessity of intervening also on the size of the nostrils which were too narrow and elongated.

The intervention performed corrected the curve of the nose, widened the nostrils whereas the skin of the nose wing was reduced. The new nose brought about greater harmony to the facial lines and as a result also the jutting of the chin became proportionate to the nose tip.

Only one intervention was needed, therefore, to proportion the size of the nose and chin without performing mentoplasty.
