THE STEPS AND PROCEDURES OF SURGICAL PROCESSES
Home/Surgical procedures/Post-surgery period
Blepharosty is done in a Day Hospital and if the operation is done in the morning, the patient will be discharged in the afternoon.
After blepharoplasty the patient may feel tired or sleepy and with a slight swelling in the orbital zone which will last a few days. The doctor will prescribe antibiotics, anti-inflammatory drugs and eye drops should excessive tearing occur.
There may be tiny subconjunctival hematomas due to the depositing of blood coming from the eyelid tissues and collected in the conjunctival zone. This phenomenon disappears in the span of a few days and is not dangerous or painful.
In the post-blepharoplasty phase, two different types of medications at different time frames will be given as needed, and which the surgeon will prescribe accordingly.
