Rhinoplasty has eliminated the hump of the nose, rendering a regular and harmonic profile
Before undergoing aesthetic surgery, the patient’s nose had a pronouncedly humped profile. It is a typical case in which the air currents are directed towards the olfactory region instead of going to the lower turbinate zone where the air is correctly warmed. The image below shows the patient’s face before the rhinoplasty compared to that after surgery.

Through a digital elaboration of photos, the patient can see beforehand what the corrected nose may look like after the rhinoplasty, and evidence the type of corrections that will be done in the surgery room. The photo below shows in transparency the type of correction and the resulting nose profile after rhinoplasty. The patient may thus see a picture of his/her post-operative nose already during the preoperative visit.

The image at the side shows the patient right after the rhinoplasty. A photo taken of the patient still under the effects of anesthetics is placed next to the photo taken before the operation, to be able to compare the two nose profiles.
As evidenced, the final result is substantially the same as that foreseen during the study of the nose performed during the visit with Prof. Mattioli.

These images compared to one another show the adjustment of the entire facial profile. Note how the tip of the nose corresponds with the shape of the chin and a curved profile was corrected to become a linear profile which endows harmony to the face. The rhinoplasty has not only solved an aesthetic problem but also all the functional features of the nose.
