Before rhinoplasty, the patient had a curved profile due to an excessive growth of the nasal septum which brought forward the nasal pyramid and tip. This shape of the nose caused breathing problems besides aesthetic ones, due to an incorrect flow of air in the nose.

The extent of the nose reduction required the use of spreader grafts on the cartilaginous nasal dorsum and thus the complete reconstruction of the nasal valve. The newly found harmony of the shape and volume of the nose tip makes the chin appear less out of proportion
