The patient had lower eyelid bags and a drooping of the cheekbone region. Blepharoplasty was performed to remove a small amount of fat from the lid bags.

In addition the orbicularis muscle of the cheekbone area was drained and attached to the periosteum tissue of the superomedial orbital branch. The cheek bone thus was lifted and the effect is similar to a lifting procedure.
